Terms and Conditions: NordYrk 2026 Conference

• Conference registration tickets are non-refundable, regardless of the reason or cancellation date and are deemed exempt from the EU right of withdrawal, according to Article 16 of the Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU). 
   
• Conference registration cannot be transferred to someone else. 

Communication 

• NordYrk2026 organisers will send any updates and information via NordYrk2026 website.
• NordYrk2026 Programme information can be found from the NordYrk2026 website https://www.jamk.fi/en/event/nordyrk-2026 

Payments 

For registration NordYrk2026 conference offers the following payment methods: 

• Credit or debit cards (Please be aware that your credit card will be charged immediately after the purchase has been done.  And you will receive a ticket to your email, if the payment has been successful. Please, monitor also your spam folder.)
• Invoicing 

Dinner and cultural programme 

• Please note that conference-related ticket for conference dinner (Social networking dinner) and cultural programme are non-refundable and deemed exempt from the EU right of withdrawal, according to Article 16 of the Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU).
• You may transfer your dinner and cultural program (Guided tour) ticket to another person, either as a gift or by selling it on, without intervention of the NordYrk2026 organiser. 

Insurance 

The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to conference participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own travel insurance. 

NordYrk2026 excludes all liability or obligation when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of NordYrk2026 occur that prevents it from actually hosting the conference. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy 

• In the event of the complete cancellation of the conference, it is the general rule that registered participants shall be entitled to a reimbursement of the registration fee, minus any applicable administrative charges. 
• The aforementioned entitlement is also applicable in instances where the cancellation is attributable to circumstances that are beyond the reasonable control of the NordYrk2026 organiser. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, the occurrence of a pandemic, the implementation of government policy, or other events classified as force majeure.
• Refunds will be processed in accordance with the prevailing legislation and regulations, and subject to any administrative procedures communicated by the NordYrk2026 organiser.
