Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business

The International Business bachelor’s degree programme offers you culturally diverse learning environments to develop your much-valued competences to become a responsible international business manager of tomorrow. After graduation you should have the needed tools and skills to develop creative and sustainable solutions to global business challenges and explore new business opportunities and possible risks in global technology-intensive markets. You will manage business operations efficiently, ethically, and responsibly in international work environments of multicultural teams.

Jamk's International Business is the only EFMD Accredited Bachelor level programme among Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences. The EFMD accreditation, since 2012, is a sign of Jamk’s high international quality standards in academic performance, as well as relevance to the working life. The ever-changing requirements of the corporate world are very well integrated into the programme.

Study contents

In the International Business degree programme, you will explore key areas such as Marketing, Responsible Management, Sustainable Business, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. The programme emphasizes practical learning through real-world business cases, simulations, and team-based projects. You’ll work on assignments like creating international marketing campaigns, developing business plans or startup ideas. These experiences build both professional competence and intercultural communication skills.

During the second year, you will choose one Academic Track:

  • Marketing Management
  • Technology Business, Cybersecurity and Future Foresight
  • Finance and Corporate Governance
  • Innovation Management
  • Sport Business

First Year

During the first year, you will concentrate on the fundamentals of business, such as the basics of marketing, management, finance and accounting, communication and research. You will acquire the theoretical foundation of the business world, which helps you to understand business practices in global contexts. 

It is highly recommended to include Finnish language studies into your first year study plan.

Second Year

During the second year, you will choose one academic track to focus on and apply your skills in real life projects and the bachelor’s thesis. You will work in real-life business projects and continue developing your professional identity. Continuing your Finnish language studies during your second year is highly recommended.

Third Year

The third academic year is dedicated to the international exposure and specialization: you will do your practical training and/or an exchange period abroad. You are encouraged to choose your specialization at our partner institutions. Our modern intercultural learning environment supports your learning in international business and academic networks. Students can also widen their experiences and skills by pursuing a double degree at one of our accredited international partner universities, outside Finland.

Tuition fees and scholarships

Read about the tuition fee and scholarship policy of Jamk UAS. The tuition fee for bachelor's degrees per academic year is 10 000€. The tuition fee for master's degrees per academic year is 12 000€. Scholarship available under certain conditions.
