Jamk University of Applied Sciences is participating in the European Defence Fund's EUR 60 million CITADEL Range project, which aims to develop cyber security in Europe.

At the YITHackathon held on 08.05.2025, new, more ecological alternatives to traditional road salt for de-icing were sought internationally. Kemion Ltd won the hackathon with their environmentally friendly raw material that can be added to road salt.

A joint safety exercise was carried out at the Finnish Music Campus on Pitkäkatu in Jyväskylä on Thursday 15 May, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Jamk is involved in the development of vocational education and training in Ukraine through the Bridge2Skills project. The project has been prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and will be implemented from the development cooperation appropriations of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 2024–2026. The total value of the project is EUR 2.2 million, and the consortium is led by the Häme University of Applied Sciences.

On Thursday 15 May, a joint safety exercise between Gradia, Jamk University of Applied Sciences and the authorities will be carried out at the Finnish Music Campus in Jyväskylä.

Opin.fi is a joint service of Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences with a diverse selection of open higher education studies on a single site. Opin.fi has already been joined by 29 Finnish institutions, including Jamk.

Jamk is now the fifth largest University of Applied Sciences in Finland in terms of turnover. The volume of RDI activities is the second highest in the Finnish UAS'. The number of degrees also rose in 2024 to highest in Jamk's history.
