The library has purchased over 200 000 e-books covering various fields of study. The Library buys e-books from various providers either as large e-book sets or as single e-books. Therefore, the user rights, ways of using, loan periods and e-book readers required vary. For example, whereas some e-books can be read by multiple users at the same time, some can be read only by one person at a time.

Single e-books and links to them can best be found via Janet. You can also browse e-books according to science.

You can read e-books on your computer or mobile device. Some of the e-books you can download to your device. Install the free reader required to your device before downloading an e-book.

f you want to read the e-book you have borrowed on multiple devices, you have to authorize the reader with an Adobe ID. After the authorization, you can transfer the e-book across devices and on the different devices open the e-book with your Adobe ID.

The e-book file is saved by default to a folder called “My Digital Editions”.

The library has purchased thousands of electronic journals covering various fields of study. You can search for a single, specific e-journal via Janet. If you are only just beginning to map what articles can be found on your subject, you can use Janet’s International Article Search.

Alongside e-book and e-journal databases, the library collections include, for example, standards and statistics. If you are unsure of what database you should be using, check out the tips in your own field’s information retrieval guide.
