In 2015, students of JAMK’s Open University of Applied Sciences completed a total of 11,356 ECTS credits, which is 58% more than in 2014. This was also the first time that the number of credits exceeded 10,000.

In terms of study attainments, JAMK’s Open University of Applied Sciences became the third in Finland. The number of students also reached a new record: the figure rose from 789 to 1,005. Two-thirds of the participants are women.

– JAMK has many path students aiming for degree studies. Studies in the Open University of Applied Sciences may lead directly to degree studies, even without an entrance examination, which has made the paths a truly appealing option,  says Administrative Planner Maarit Korva.

Like in the past few years, the most popular field was social and health studies, but business administration and technology were also popular. The number of courses available at the Open University of Applied Sciences last year was slightly over 650.
