Mobility is an integral part of JAMK's internationalisation. Mobility programmes give frameworks and enable a great deal of students and staff to study and work abroad. Below you can find some basic information about the mobility programmes that JAMK participates in.



The Nordplus programme (the webpage is in Finnish, fact sheet in English available on the page) aims to enhance cooperation between Nordic and Baltic institutions of higher education and businesses. The Nordplus higher education –programme consists of student and teacher mobility as well as project and network cooperation.

In the Nordplus programme the exchanges take place in cooperation networks established between different fields/ Nordic educational institutions. The duration of and grants for the exchanges vary depending on the networks.

Over the years JAMK has participated in several Nordplus projects. At JAMK, the Nordplus programme is administered by the schools taking part in the programme. At the moment JAMK is active in the following networks:

FIRST+, i.e. Finnish-Russian Student and Teacher Exchange Programme, is a programme aiming to enhance cooperation between Finland and Russia's neighbouring area. Higher education institution networks can apply for funding for mobility between the two countries (teacher and student mobility). Funding can also be applied for organising intensive courses.

Over the years JAMK has participated in the programme with a few projects. At JAMK, the FIRST programme is administered by the schools participating in the programme. The previous FIRST programme results and current FIRST+ programme information can be found on the EDUFI website.
