Cyber Security Network of Competence Centres for Europe (CyberSec4Europe) will address the research, know-how and development assurance of European cybersecurity. JAMK will organise two cyber security exercises and create material for course-based education and training in cybersecurity for European higher education institutes.

Aimo Pellinen, specialist in JAMK School of Technology, considers the participation in one the largest European project consortiums as a clear indication that JAMK is known internationally as a significant cybersecurity actor.

"JAMK has organised cybersecurity exercises since year 2013 and in particular, the RGCE environment for simulating cybersecurity exercises created by us has attracted international attention. We are also one of the founding members of ECSO (European Cyber Security Organization) that consists of cybersecurity actors", Pellinen clarifies.

Several cybersecurity specialists at JAMK participate in the 42-month project. The project work started at the beginning of February 2019.

Horizon 2020 is an over 80-billion EUR research programme that focuses on challenges Europe is facing in the near future. Cybersecurity is one of the most significant challenges, the meaning of which will increase year by year.
