In 2017, agile efforts were made to promote lifelong learning.

A record number in JAMK’s Open Studies

Last year, students obtained 13,520 credits in the Open Studies provided by JAMK University of Applied Sciences.

Universities of applied sciences to receive the Campus Online portal

22 universities of applied sciences are involved in building the shared eAMK study portal, which provides a selection of courses from which all students of those universities of applied sciences can pick courses for their degree programmes.

The EduFutura summer tour was a success

Over the course of the two-month summer tour, a four-person student team took part in a total of 17 summer events.

Towards a joint summer semester

In the summer of 2017, institutions of higher education offered a total of 440 courses, and around 29,000 credits were obtained by students as summer studies.

JAMK at the Astana World Expo

Last year’s World Expo was the Astana World Expo organised in Astana, Kazakhstan between 10 June and 10 September 2017. The theme of the Expo was Future Energy, and the 112 countries taking part showcased their renewable energy and Cleantech know-how and innovations. Finland was represented with the theme “Sharing Pure Energy”.
