Theme: Innovative approaches in higher education leadership

Higher education faculty and administrators are challenged to deliver and support innovative pedagogical solutions in multicultural student bodies, where students bring from home and intersect culturally-based shared values, behaviours and practices. Complicating matters further for all higher education shareholders is the reality of changing technologies, unstable economic conditions and ongoing globalisation processes. This requires new conceptions of learning, competences, learning environments, leadership and pedagogical approaches, among others.

During this colloquium, participants will

  • learn best approaches from the keynote speakers
  • have a valuable opportunity to present their own research ideas and experiences
  • to forge new academic relationships and partnerships
  • join the guided culture and history tour in the city of Helsinki and get transportation from Helsinki to Jyväskylä, June 10.
  • cruise and buffet dinner at lake Päijänne, Jyväskylä

Keynote

The colloquium keynote emphasises identifying common grounds between these two roles, and provides the occasion for dialogue needed to enhance the working relationships between the two groups (faculty and administrators).

Two research tracks

You are able to select between the following two tracks:

Track 1 for administrators
