How to achieve excellence in both pedagogy and research

A common, yet perplexing challenge faced by higher education faculty is how to achieve excellence in research activities while simultaneously working to deliver their students innovative pedagogical solutions. Often no synergy is found between these two interests, leaving each in a state of underdevelopment. Have you found a way to rise to this challenge in your own work?

Share your expertise

We are interested in receiving your topical proposal from multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary fields related to economics and business administration (e.g. management, marketing, accounting, finance or communication).

As a participant in the colloquium, you will have a valuable opportunity to present your latest research to faculty alike, as well as to forge new academic relationships and partnerships.

To whom?

The event is aimed at an international audience of higher education faculty actively engaged in research and pedagogy.

Apply by 5 March

If you are interested, please submit your application latest by March 5, 2017 by sending your CV, short biography (max 200 words), and abstract of your presentation (500-600 words) to Murat Akpinar.
As the objective of the colloquium is to share innovative practices about how faculty create synergies between their teaching and research activities, the abstract should answer the following two questions:

1. How are students integrated into research activities?
2. How does the research of the faculty contribute to the learning of their students?

We will inform the result of your application by March 20, 2017.

No partication fees

The event is part of JAMK’s commitment to internationalization and research collaboration. Hence, there is no participation fee, and it is compatible with the Erasmus Staff Mobility scheme. There will be a small prize for the best practice presentation.
