JAMK talks health: Nurse’s role in type 2 diabetes care in Finland

In September, our theme is “Nurse’s role in type 2 diabetes care in Finland”. The lecture will be delivered by Specialist Sari Järvinen (PhD, RN), who wrote her doctoral dissertation on the documentation of the self-management and self-management skills of type 2 diabetes patients. During her extensive clinical career, Ms. Järvinen has worked in a managerial position in primary health care and elderly care while participating in several working groups and positions of trust. At JAMK, she has been developing nursing clinical guidelines and guiding nursing research projects in Kazakhstan as well as teaching and guiding both Finnish and international Master students in nursing.
