Project description

Digital HR skills are a potential competitive advantage for companies. However, studies have identified its lack as one of the obstacles to development in Finnish companies. The data are usually scattered across different systems and are rarely used to help systematic and proactive development. Companies often face challenges in keeping up to date with the opportunities offered by digitalization in HR, and there is only a limited range of training offerings for companies.

The DigiHR project tackles the challenges described above by improving the digital HR skills of SMEs in Central Finland, digitizing HR processes and increasing analytics expertise to strengthen their strategic competitive advantage. Key aspects of the project are the integration of technology into HR management, the efficient utilization of HR information systems and the development of HR processes in a data-driven manner. At the same time, the management of companies is supported in motivating change management that takes into account well-being at work.

Objectives of the project:
 1. Increase understanding, expertise and skills in digital HR management and change management
 2. Build development pathways for SMEs in Central Finland to develop digital HR management
 3. Gain experience in various areas of HR analytics through pilots
 4. Model the digital HR development model through emerging experiences and learnings

The aim is also to strengthen the motivation of employees to work, well-being at work and active inclusion.

Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and the University of Jyväskylä School of Business will carry out this ESF-funded project 1.10-2021-31.8.2023. The target group is the personnel of SMEs in Central Finland.
