Hackathon’s challenge provider Neste is one of the partners in the Finnish Future Farm project (FFF), that fosters collaboration and innovation through the smart agriculture startup community and accelerator ecosystem with its industrial partners. One of the FFF project’s goals is to demonstrate the emission reduction potential of agriculture and to identify solutions for verifying the achieved reductions. The hackathon serves as a concrete method for discovering new solutions to real business needs.
One of the FFF project’s goals is to demonstrate the emission reduction potential of agriculture and to identify solutions for verifying the achieved reductions.
The goal of the Data Transparency from farm to plate – BioBoosters Hackathon powered by Neste is to discover solutions that, for example, enable transparent collection, reporting, and analysis of fuel emission data, helping the entire agri-food value chain meet its emission reduction targets and comply with evolving sustainability data regulations.
The hackathon call is open to anyone with related innovation, from startups to students.
"At Neste Marketing & Services, we already provide our customers with GHG emission reporting solution related to our products like Neste MY Renewable Diesel™, and we see the BioBoosters Hackathon as an exciting opportunity to take a step in advancing data transparency across the agri-food value chain. Achieving this requires collaboration, and bringing together diverse perspectives,” comments Sven Lanens, Manager, Strategy and PMO, Marketing & Services, Neste.
Applications to the hackathon are open until 26 September for solutions or ideas relevant to the theme. The two-day event will take place in Espoo on 17 – 18 November 2025.
