Task Force Demo Day is an event showcasing projects and results produced by JAMK IT interns during academic year 2025 - 2026. The event offers an opportunity to see what the interns have developed and what kinds of solutions they have created.
The WIMMA Capstone Task Force Team has, as in previous years, continued exploring various methods, tested them in practice, and updated various support materials based on those experiences. The documented knowledge can be leveraged in the future by groups working within the WIMMA Capstone project-based learning environment.
The Task Force Team's key areas of focus have been:
- Platform Engineering (PE)
- AI-enhanced Software Engineering
- Cloud-based software production
- WIMMA Capstone's Support and Development.
The event connects students and working life through:
- Different work tasks that deepen individual professional skills
- Team-level collaboration that strengthens a holistic understanding of software production
- Results that are open and available for various parties to utilise.
What is WIMMA Capstone?
WIMMA Capstone is a project learning environment where companies/communities and students meet with real work life challenges. It focuses on skills and methods essential in future working life, with AI being the hottest topic.
Students in teams determine product development challenges set by different software companies or communities.The work is done together with instructors, peer instructors and company representatives.
WIMMA Capstone Task Force
WIMMA Capstone Task Force Team is the core team working on the WIMMA Capstone environment. During this autumn semester we have been working on mapping and trying out new alternative methods and tools that could be used within WIMMA Capstone, as well as developing support materials for setting up a cloud-hosted PrestaShop, our development target.
Our main focus point are:
- WIMMA Captstone support and development
- Platform engineering
- AI-enhanced software engineering
- Cloud-based software production
- DEV, SEC, OPS, TEST + AI tasks
