“Diverse and sustainable forestry in Finland – Perspectives in professional competence and learning“ – Teacher training program, China, 11/2019

Jamk's experts from the Institute of Bioeconomy and Professional Teacher Education co-delivered a four-days training program for a group of forestry teachers and educational leaders from Liaoning, China.

The training was versatile, including professional and pedagogical contents. Sustainable development of forest, Finnish modern forestry, from practices of logging, wood processing to innovative application of wooden material. This training also demonstrated industrial symbiosis implementation in Finland as an example of circular economy. 

Jamk Professional Teacher Education provided participants with advanced pedagogical concepts in Finnish VET sector, experiences of learner-centered learning approach as well as methods for teacher’s professional development.

This program broadened our view on modern forestry and bioeconomy, non-wood forestry products is the most interesting part of the whole training. There are so much new knowledge and new perspectives came from this training, we are now full of new ideas! – Customer's comment after the training.
