Benchmarking visit to Finland 2022

EATHEN's benchmarking visit to Jamk 3.-9.4.2022. The goal of the visit was to get to know Finnish higher education strategies and accessibility. In addition to meetings at Jamk there was a visit to the Educational Ministry of Finland.

The project coordinator, Jamk University of Applied Sciences, was very happy to have guests from the Nepalese partner universities of the EATHEN project.

Tulasi Thapaliya from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Nepal, prof. Arbinda Lal Bhomi from Tribhuvan university, prof. Bim Prasad Shrestha and Ujjwol Thapa from Kathmandu university, and Dr Ruma Manandhar from Nepal open university were doing benchmarking visit to Jamk on 3.-9.4.2022. The goal of the visit was to get to know Finnish higher education strategies and accessibility. In addition to meetings at Jamk there will be visit to the Educational Ministry of Finland.

Based on the visit the Letter of Intent will be drafted ensuring the sustainability of the project goals. At Jamk, from the School of Professional Teacher Education, Maija Mäkinen, Tuulia Kiilavuori, Pekka Risku and Kirsi Kesänen as well the Jamk's rector Vesa Saarikoski and vice rector Heikki Malinen were very pleased that the long-awaited meeting in Finland finally took place!

Field study from the remote area tours

The field study by Kathmandu University was presented during the benchmarking visit. The presenters were professor Dr. Bim Prasad Shrestha and research assistant Mr. Ujjwol Thapa.
