1. How to apply on Jamk's rolling admission

The instructions below concern Jamk's rolling admission on 14 September - 19 November 2026 by 3.00 p.m. Finnish time:

  • Application opens: 14 September 2026 at 8.00 a.m. Finnish time.
  • Application closes when the study places reserved for each programme have been filled, or on 19 November 2026 at 3.00 p.m. Finnish time at the latest.

You can apply to one (1) of the following Bachelor's degree programmes conducted in English in rolling admissions. The studies will begin in August 2027.

  • Automation and Robotics: 20 study places,
  • Information and Communication Technology: 20 study places,
  • International Business: 20 study places,
  • Nursing: 20 study places,
  • Purchasing and Logistics Engineering: 20 study places,
  • Tourism Management: 20 study places.

This application round works on a basis of a rolling admission; eligible students will be accepted already during the application period, on first-come first-served basis until all available study places are filled (the number of study places is limited). Once the available study places are filled and confirmed, no further applicants can be admitted.

  • Please notice that if you are accepted as Jamk's student in rolling admission, you have to accept the study place and pay the tuition fee (if needed) within 2 weeks.
  • IMPORTANT! In this rolling admission studies will begin in August 2027, which means that if you accept a study place from Jamk's Rolling admission, you can NOT accept another study place from the joint applications of spring 2027 (studies beginning in fall 2027)!
  • If you do not want to commit to the Rolling admission timetable or you want to apply in joint applications of spring 2027 to other programmes as well, it is recommended that you apply to Jamk’s degree programmes in the Joint application of spring 2027. In that case, please take into account that the student selection methods differs from those used in the Rolling admission.
  • Applicants should apply through Jamk’s rolling admission only if they are confident that the chosen degree programme is the one they truly want to study.

Application fee for non-EU/EEA citizens

An application fee of 100 euros concerns applicants from countries outside EU/EEA seeking education leading to a degree in higher education. There is no application fee for Finnish or EU citizens. The Finnish National Agency of Education will collect the application fee in connection with filling in the Studyinfo application form.

Please notice that paying the application fee does not guarantee that you will be offered admission to studies.

If you are offered a study place in the Jamk Rolling Admission, your studies will begin in August 2027. Please note that the application fee covers applications for study programmes that begin in the same semester. If there are multiple separate admissions ongoing at the same time, but the programmes start in different semesters, a separate application fee is required for each. This is because the application fee is tied to the start date of the studies, not the application period.

Application options

An applicant can choose only one (1) study option out of six study options, and one applicant can have only one active application form during Rolling Admission application period.  If an applicant fills in multiple applications, the first application will be valid.

Please notice that the next chance to apply for Jamk's Business Information Technology is in joint application in January 2027.

At Jamk's rolling admission you can apply to Bachelor's degree programmes in

If all the available study places are filled before the end of the application period, Jamk reserves the right to close the admission to the already full degree programmes during the application period, or close the application earlier altogether, if all the degree programmes have been filled before the end of the application period.

2. General eligibility and English language requirements

Below you can find which degrees provide general eligibility and who is required to submit an English language test certificate.

If your qualification, which provides general eligibility for higher education in the country in which it was awarded, is completed outside the EU/EEA countries or Switzerland, you must also attach an English language test certificate to your application.

General eligibility

In most cases, you are eligible to apply for bachelor’s level studies in Finland if you are eligible to apply for higher education in your home country.

Eligible applicants for degree studies at universities of applied sciences have completed at least one of the following:

  • the studies required for graduating from the Finnish upper secondary school or a Matriculation Examination;
  • an International Baccalaureate (IB) degree and/or graduated from IB high school (IB Diploma Results/IB Certificate);
  • a European Baccalaureate (EB) Diploma;
  • a Reifeprüfung (RP) or Deutsche Internationale Abitur (DIA) degree;
  • a Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification covering 120 credits or 180 competence points or a corresponding earlier Finnish vocational degree covering at least 80 credits;
  • a Finnish post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma;
  • a Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification or a further or specialist vocational qualification as a competence-based qualification, or a corresponding previous qualification;
  • a foreign qualification that provides eligibility for higher education studies in that country;
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.

You can apply even if your degree certificate is completed during spring/summer of 2027. In this case, attach a transcript of study records or other certificate provided by the learning institution that states the degree/qualification you are completing to your application (and official translation if needed).

The admission is conditional until the Jamk UAS has checked your final school certificates. The Jamk UAS will cancel the admission if you fail to submit certificates by the specified deadline, or if you have provided false information.

If needed, Jamk uses discretionary admission. Jamk UAS decides if applicant is eligible for admission, based on applicant’s documents (and if necessary, the result of an interview).

English language requirements

You must attach an English language proficiency certificate to your application, if your qualification (which provides general eligibility for higher education in the country in which it was awarded) is completed outside the EU/EEA countries or Switzerland.

Note! The applicant does not need to prove their English language skills beforehand, if they have completed or will be completing during spring/summer 2027 a qualification (which gives general eligibility) in an EU/EEA country or Switzerland.

English language skills can be proved by the following documents:

  1. English language test results*:
  • IELTS Academic / IELTS Academic UKVI / IELTS Online: a minimum total score of 6.0 (Test sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)

  • Please note that your degree must be taught and assessed entirely in English.
  • The language of instruction must be clearly stated on official documents (also in cases where the official language of the degree awarding country is English). You can also document this by submitting a certificate/letter from your university / educational institution in addition to your official study documentation. If the applicant’s degree includes courses conducted in a language other than English, the degree might not meet the requirement.
  • The upper secondary degree must also be a qualification that provides eligibility for higher education in the country in which it was awarded.
  • Degrees from international schools or institutions located outside the listed countries, where the degree is completed locally but awarded by an institution from another country, do not qualify.
  • Degrees completed during the spring/summer of 2027 are also accepted. The admission is conditional until Jamk has checked your final school certificates/diploma.

*The language test results must be verifiable from the online verification service of the organiser. If the test scores can no longer be verified, the test is not valid. The applicant should make sure that the test results are not too old. If the applicant is unsure and the test results are more than 2 years old, it is advised to retake the test.

*When taking the language test, the applicant should choose Jamk University of Applied Sciences as the recipient of the results. The applicant must also attach a scanned/electric copy of the test result to the application for verification purposes and notify their unique identifier.

3. Entrance examination: Interview

The online interview is a group interview, if possible. (If there is only one applicant, or if the other applicants do not attend the interview, the interview will be conducted individually.)

Interview dates

  1. First round: Applicants whose online application is complete by Sun 27.9.2026 will be invited to an interview held on Mon 5.10.2026 (backup day 6.10.2026).
  2. Second round: Applicants whose online application is complete by Mon 19.10.2026 will be invited to an interview held on Wed 28.10.2026 (backup day 29.10.2026).
  3. Third round: Rest of the applicants whose online application is complete (by 19.11.2026 3.00 p.m. Finnish time) will be invited to an interview held on Wed 25.11.2026 (backup day 26.11.2026).

The applicant selects the most suitable interview time from the available time slots on the designated interview day. The applicant cannot choose the interview date, only the time on that day. The backup interview day will be used if the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the primary interview day.

If the number of eligible applicants is large, Jamk may need to add additional interview dates in addition to those listed above, and applicants cannot influence or choose their own interview date.

Interview scoring

The applicant must pass each section of the interview to be accepted as a student at Jamk. If one or more of the interview section points are below required, the applicant will be rejected and cannot be accepted as a Jamk’s student. If you fail the interview, you cannot apply to another programme and get accepted in this rolling admission.

Selection between applicants with equal points (on the same interview round (1st, 2nd or 3rd round)): If there are more acceptable applicants than available study places, all applicants who have the same entrance examination points (and who meet all minimum point requirements) will be accepted.

Identification

To be accepted as a student, the applicant must successfully strongly identify themselves according to Jamk’s valid policy. Failure to verify identity leads to rejection. Identification instructions will be informed within the interview invitation sent by email.

You will be notified of the result of the student selection after you have submitted your application with all the required attachments, your application has been processed, you have participated for an admission interview and your interview is evaluated. We will deliver the results within a week after the interview.

Accept the study place and pay the tuition fee (if needed) within 2 weeks

The deadline for accepting the study place, paying the tuition fee (if applicable) and enrolling as present(/absent) for the upcoming academic year is 2 weeks (14 days) from the notice of admission.

Accepting the study place

  • The confirmation of a study place is binding; you cannot change it or undo it.
  • Do not accept a study place until you are sure that you want to accept it but remember to consider the deadline for confirming.
  • You will lose the study place if you do not accept it by the deadline.

You may accept only one study place in higher education in Finland from studies starting during same academic term (1.8.−31.12.2027). If you accept a study place, your other study options will be automatically cancelled (concerning joint and direct/separate/rolling applications). When you confirm a study place, you will not be considered a first-time applicant in future applications.

  • IMPORTANT! In this rolling admission studies will begin in August 2027, which means that if you accept a study place from Jamk's Rolling admission, you can NOT accept another study place from the joint applications of spring 2027 (studies beginning in fall 2027)!

Paying the tuition fee

The deadline for paying the tuition fee (if applicable) and enrolling as present(/absent) for the upcoming academic year is 2 weeks (14 days) from the notice of admission.

The tuition fees for NON-EU/EEA students is 10 000€/academic year for bachelor's degrees taught in English. It is not possible to pay the tuition fee in installments for the first academic year. If you have problems with this deadline, please contact Student Services.

  • Attach also an authorised translation of the certificate if required (in English, Finnish or Swedish, the translation must have the translators' signature and stamp).

If necessary, your original final school-leaving certificates or certificates of higher education will be verified at the beginning of your studies. The applicants who are required to present the certificates will be notified separately by email.

The student selection is conditional until the final school-leaving certificates or certificates of higher education have been verified. If you fail to submit copies of your certificates, or do not present them in the given timeline if requested, or have given false or insufficient information concerning the certificates or the eligibility giving degree, your study place will be cancelled.
