Data analytics and artificial intelligence for those who master the basics of programming
The studies consist of two different specialization modules in data analytics and artificial intelligence. You can study either both modules or just one of them. The scope of the first module is 16 ECTS credits, during which you study the basics of data analytics methods and projects. The second specialization module has a scope of 18 credits, and it deepens your knowledge of data analytics, and you learn how to build artificial intelligence-based systems.
Data analytics and artificial intelligence specialization modules
The content of the specialization modules consists of understanding the meaning of data, the possibilities brought by artificial intelligence, and data analytics. In your studies, you will get to know the basics of data analytics methods and the most commonly used tools and libraries (e.g. Pandas, sklearn, and TensorFlow). You will also study data preprocessing and the utilization of various data sources.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization module 1 is intended for people who have mastered the basics of programming and are interested in data analytics and artificial intelligence. The studies require basic knowledge of Python programming.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization module 2 is intended for those who have completed Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization module 1 (or those with similar skills) who want to further deepen their skills in the application of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
During the courses, you will familiarize yourself with the methods of data analytics, machine learning, calculation algorithms, and deep learning in practical exercises.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization module 1 (16 ECTS credits) content:
- Git version control and GitLab project management environment, 1 ECTS credit
- Introduction to Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, 3 ECTS credits
- Data Analysis and Machine Learning Basics, 4 ECTS credits
- Data Preprocessing, 4 ECTS credits
- Data Analysis and Visualization, 4 ECTS credits
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization module 2 (18 ECTS credits) content:
- Computational algorithms, 4 ECTS credits
- Machine Learning, 4 ECTS credits
- Deep Learning, 5 ECTS credits
- AI/DA Project, 5 ECTS credits

10 € / ECTS credit
If you are an unemployed jobseeker, an asylum seeker, or an alumni of Jamk University of Applied Sciences 2 years after graduation, the studies are free of charge. Studies are also free for people who have fled Ukraine and are in Finland with temporary protection -status. In these cases, do not proceed to online payment.
