Information and Communication Technology, Bachelor's Route Studies 1 (full-time studies)
Route studies are intended for those aiming to enter a degree programme. By completing Route Studies 1 and 2, you can apply to JAMK through the Open UAS route application without an entrance exam.
Content
The study module consists of the first year studies of the degree programme. The group is integrated into the group of degree students.
Objectives
During route studies 1 and 2, the goal is to complete at least 50 credits from the first year of degree studies. After this, it is possible to continue with second-year studies.
Implementation methods
There is an 80% attendance requirement in daytime studies. The studies include independent work as well as contact teaching, which generally takes place on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Prerequisites
Completing the route studies requires the following study skills: the ability to work independently; interaction and teamwork skills; proficient writing skills; basic IT skills (computer use, word processing, email, and online services); and sufficient language proficiency (at least Finnish at B2 level and the ability to study materials in English).

Due to the timing of optional and elective courses, credit accumulation per semester / academic year may vary.
Please make sure with your tutor teacher during your studies that you will receive the 50 credits needed for applying for degree studies via Open Route during the academic year (study path 1 and 2), especially if you are a Finnish speaker.
Accomplishment: Full-time route studies have an 80 % attendance requirement. =You must be living in Jyväskylä. The studies will be started by orientation week on 17th of August 2026 at JAMK Main Campus, Rajakatu 35, Jyväskylä.
