Advanced Practice Nursing, Master's Route Studies Autumn
Objectives
During route studies 1 and 2, the goal is to complete at least 20 or 30 credits from the first year of degree studies. After this, it is possible to continue with second-year studies.
Implementation methods
The focus is on providing master-level education for experienced nurses who wish to work in clinical care with more varied and demanding job descriptions. Our programme prepares you to achieve competencies in several areas such as translating evidence into practice, conducting health assessment and providing clinical care in complex decision-making situations and leading changes to improve quality care outcomes. Our vision is that advanced nursing integrates leadership, education, and research, with a strong emphasis on providing direct advanced clinical care.
Target group: For those who aim at the master`s degree programme in Advanced Practice Nursing. Please note that enrolling for open studies requires a Finnish personal identity number.

Prerequisites
As prior qualifications, you need a Bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) or equivalent competence. Applying to a Master's (UAS) programme through the open pathway does not remove the degree and work experience requirement.

Route studies are designed for you who aims to become an Advanced Practice Nursing Master's degree student. There are 8 study places available, filled in enrollment order. Students who have completed Route studies (2 semesters) can apply to become degree student without entrance exams.

The route studies include first year Advanced Practice Nursing degree programme courses. The studies include face-to-face contact, online (e.g., webinars), and independent studies.
