Objectives
The purpose is that you are able to acquire, critically assess and produce evidence-based information while taking into account the perspectives of different fields. You are able to develop and manage goal-oriented, continuous learning concerning evidence-based practices in your working community. You are able to integrate a body of evidence from clinical nursing guidelines and other evidence-based practice sources into autonomous decision-making.

By the end of the course, you are able to question healthcare practices for the purpose of improving the quality of care. You are able to create, develop, and critically evaluate evidence-based educational digital interventions aimed at different types of patient groups. You possess knowledge and skills to implement successfully evidence-based interventions into clinical practice. You can lead multi-professional communities to foster evidence-based organisational culture, infrastructure, and teamwork. You can take responsibility for independent decisions as an advanced nurse practitioner concerning the selection of evidence-based nursing methods, the implementation of a care plan, and monitoring of a patient’s health condition.

Additional information
Target group: For those who aim at the master`s degree programme in Advanced Practice Nursing.
Prerequisites: Bachelor's Degree Programme in Nursing.
You must have the following study abilities: independent study skills, interaction and teamwork skills, fluent writing skills, basic IT skills (computer management, word processing, e-mail, electronic services) and sufficient language skills, ie at least B2 level in English.
By completing the route studies, you can apply through the open route and enter the Master's degree studies without entrance exams.

Please note that accredited studies cannot be recognised in applying through open route. Only Campus Online -studies completed during the route studies in UAS can be recognised.

The studies include face-to-face contact, online (e.g., webinars), and independent studies. Every semester, there will be 4 face-to-face study period (2+2) per semester, which will be held in Jyväskylä, Finland. The first one will be held 27.-28.8.2025 (Wednesday-Thursday) and the second one 29.-30.10.2025 (Wednesday-Thursday).
