Welcome to apply to Jamk in Supplementary Application! During the Supplementary Application Period you can apply to the degree programmes which have study places available.

You can access the application form during the application period from the link below or from the degree programme description on Studyinfo.fi. 

No registration is needed for filling in the application form. You do not have to log in, just open the form and start. Carefully read the instructions at the beginning of the application form.

After submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation email to the address you have given on the application form. You can edit the application you've already submitted during the application period through the link you've received. Changing the order of preferences and removing or adding application choices is no longer possible after the application period has ended.

Please notice that you can submit only one application form. If you submit several applications, only the latest will be taken into consideration and all others will be deleted.

You may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term (1st August 2026 to 31th December 2026).

Bachelor of Engineering, Automation and Robotics

Eligibility

You can apply with upper secondary school certificate or with a higher education certificate. You can also apply if your secondary school degree certificate is completed during the spring of applying.

Entrance exam

Entrance examination will be held on 4 August 2026 at 1.00 pm Finnish time only in Jyväskylä, Finland (Jamk UAS Main Campus, Rajakatu 35, 40200 Jyväskylä, Finland). Exam invitations will be send by email few days before the exam, so please mark the date already on your calendar. Please notice that the exam will be held ONLY in Jyväskylä Finland. It's not arranged online.

The entrance examination consist of two parts:

  • part I: mathematics etc. min. 7/20 points
  • part II: English language min. 7/20 points

If you fail to reach the minimum point level in any of the examination parts, you will be disqualified from the entrance examination.

In the exam, you may use conventional writing and drawing tools (pen, eraser, ruler, square, protractor). The use of calculators during the exam is strictly prohibited.

Please arrive to the entrance exam at least half an hour prior to the start of the exam. Remember to have an identification document (for example passport) with you when arriving to the exam!

Co-operation in Entrance Examinations

Jamk's Bachelor's Degree Programmes in Automation and Robotics and Information and Communication Technology accepts each others entrance examination results (at Jamk's supplementary application). They use the same entrance examination.

In Jamk's supplementary application you must place the study programmes in order of preference, and you can be accepted to only one study programme. You will be offered admission to the programme that you have placed highest on your list of preferences and to which you have enough points to be accepted. For example, if you are accepted to your first study option, your lower options are cancelled.

Supplementary application's results are announced on 7 August 2026. Studies will begin 17 August 2026 at Jyväskylä.

Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Game Production

Eligibility

You can apply with upper secondary school certificate or with a higher education certificate. You can also apply if your secondary school degree certificate is completed during the spring of applying.

Portfolio / familiarizing with curriculum

To prepare for the interview the applicants are expected to do at least one of the following:

1. Prepare a portfolio: Show if you have done something related to games. For example, made a game, made some 3D/2D art, did some programming, are a DM in D&D group, wrote some music, edited some videos etc. Be prepared to show the process of your work in the interview. This can be documentation or some visualization on your own device (laptop, tablet) if you wish to present e.g. 3D/2D-work or programming. 

2. Familiarize yourself with our curriculum. Be prepared to discuss what are your points of interest in the studies and what role are you interested in the industry and why.
 

Entrance exam

Entrance examination will be held on 5 August 2026 at 9.00 am - 1.00 pm Finnish time only in Jyväskylä, Finland (Jamk UAS Main Campus, Rajakatu 35, 40200 Jyväskylä, Finland). Exam invitations will be send by email few days before the exam, so please mark the date already on your calendar. Please notice that the exam will be held ONLY in Jyväskylä Finland. The entrance examination is based on an individual interview in which, in addition to English language skills, the applicant’s level of motivation, prior competence (portfolio), and understanding of the field of study are assessed. The entrance examination consist of

  • English language, min. 8/20 points
  • Motivation and knowledge of the field, as well as a portfolio / demonstration of professional competence, min. 8/20 points

If you fail to reach the minimum point level in any of the examination parts, you will be disqualified from the entrance examination.

Please arrive to the entrance exam at least half an hour prior to the start of the exam. Remember to have an identification document (for example passport) with you when arriving to the exam!

  • Interview, min. 8/40 points
  • Essay, min. 10/20 points

Master of Business Administration, International Business Management

Eligibility

Eligibility can be obtained with a completed Bachelor's level degree in the field of

  • business (BBA in Business Administration or other equivalent business degree), or
  • natural science (BBA in Business Information Technology), or
  • hospitality management or
  • sports.

AND

Two years (24 months) of work experience after the bachelor's degree in the field of business and administration or tourism and hospitality or sports.

Work Experience in Master's Degrees

The minimum requirement regarding work experience is at least two years (24 months) of relevant work experience gained after the bachelor's degree.

Jamk accepts work experience also after a vocational college diploma or a higher vocational diploma (in Finnish: opistoasteen tutkinto, ammatillisen korkea-asteen tutkinto) before completing a bachelor's degree. If an applicant has completed one of these diplomas before graduating from the bachelor's degree, the work experience is accepted also after the prior degree. Even in this case the minimum requirement of work experience from the field is 2 years (24 months).

The work experience must be from the field of the degree (used for applying) or from field that the applicant is currently applying. An applicant can count in work experience until 31 July 2026.

  • Part-time work can be converted into full-time equivalents, such that 150 hours or 20 full workdays (at least 7 hours per day) correspond to one month of work.
  • Work experience as an entrepreneur will be accepted if the applicant submits an official certificate stating the entrepreneurship. For example, a Finnish entrepreneur must submit YEL- or MYEL-insurance certificate.
  • Practical training or on-the-job learning is not counted as work experience if it has been a part of the degree used for applying.
  • Service in an army, non-military service or nursing leave is not considered as work experience.
  • Parental leave during employment is accepted as work experience.

Work certificates

The work experience must be demonstrated with work certificates. A work certificate is a written official document that contains information about the job position of an employee of the company. Employees can request this certificate from their employer or from human resource department.

Note that the work certificates must include the following information:

  • working title and a job description
  • length of employment (date of beginning and termination of employment or information whether the employment is still active)
  • date of issue
  • a signature of the employer

Please note, that in case you do not submit work certificates which include all the information listed above, your application cannot be considered for admission.

Please note that the following documents are not accepted as work certificates:

  • letters of recommendations,
  • employment offer letters,
  • employment contracts,
  • a resume/CV.
