Project description

We are enhancing skills and capabilities related to entrepreneurship in the game industry and promoting employment in the game sector in Central Finland e.g. through the establishment of new companies.

The project is divided into three content work packages.

WP1 Developing business ideas and products in the Game Track program:

The Game Track program, which will be conducted three times (autumn 2025, spring 2026, and autumn 2026), lasts about five months and is aimed at job seekers, unemployed individuals, as well as domestic and international students (especially those close to graduation or recent graduates) who are interested in entrepreneurship in the gaming industry or employment in the gaming sector.

WP2 Increasing skills in advising and supporting entrepreneurship in the gaming industry:

Workshops and events starting at the beginning of 2026 will be targeted at organizations in Central Finland that promote employment and entrepreneurship and can have an impact on initiating and developing entrepreneurship in the gaming field.

WP3 Dissemination of results and communication:

During the project, multi-channel information related to entrepreneurship in the game industry will be disseminated, and a handbook on entrepreneurship in the game sector will be delivered and published. Additionally, podcasts will share the learning and entrepreneurial stories of participants in the project, along with expert articles and blogs. Workshops, events, and learning trips will also be organized.

The project includes the Game Track program, workshops, and articles, blogs, podcasts, and events produced by experts. The activities will primarily be held live at the Digi & Game Center in Jyväskylä (Matarankatu 2), but remote participation is also possible.
