Institute of Rehabilitation

The Institute of Rehabilitation is a centre for education, development and research in the field of multidisciplinary rehabilitation. We respond to changing societal needs by renewing rehabilitation and by producing expertise in the field of rehabilitation through education, continuous learning, research and development.

We are reforming and strengthening rehabilitation know-how to meet the changing national and international needs.

We educate experts of multidisciplinary rehabilitation

We educate nearly 200 solid experts in multidisciplinary rehabilitation each year. We also offer master’s degree studies, specialisation studies and diploma courses.

Research in multidisciplinary rehabilitation

Research carried out in the competence area of multidisciplinary rehabilitation is extensive and Interdisciplinary research. The focus of the research is on the development of new rehabilitation methods and operating models for rehabilitation and the evaluation of their effectiveness. The interdisciplinary nature of our research activities is highlighted when different disciplines, methods and professional groups meet.

Breaking Education Barriers: Inclusion, Rehabilitation and Technology

BERT project aims to contribute towards the enhanced capacity of higher education institutions in East Africa to break down barriers hindering the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into society in the digital era.

RADIC

RADIC is a research project to contribute to capacity building in higher education to support and promote digital transformation in East Africa.
