  • the name of the thesis.

Apply for the degree certificate online (see Electronic Services page, Applications and forms) early enough before the maximum study period expires.

Students graduating after 1.1.2023 from Jamk will receive their certificate in electronic format, which is a PDF file signed by the rector with a certificate from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. After the graduation, student will receive a link by e-mail which can be used to download the electronic degree certificate for 30 days. Paper certificates are no longer issued. The electronic Degree Certificate cannot be issued retroactively.

Electronic Degree Certificate is easy to use, and it can be easily attached e.g. to electronic job application processes. Electronic Degree Certificate adds to the reliability of the degree certificate since the authenticity of the electronic signature is easy to validate. Electronically signed (Atomi) degree certificates fulfill all the requirements for an authorized electronic signature regulated by EU.

Electronic Degree Certificate is the official, original certificate. Electronic Degree Certificate is a PDF document, and it has been signed by rector electronically with an authentication issued by Digital and Population Data Services Agency. Authenticity of the Jamk electronic Degree Certificate can be easily validated in the service of Digital and Population Data Services Agency and in the Atomi Validator-service of Jamk. Any receiver of the degree certificate (e.g. an employer) can validate its authenticity using these services.

Please note: Do not modify the PDF certificate document. If the certificate is modified, the electronic signature authentication will be broken, and the document is no longer authentic. Adobe Acrobat Reader is the recommended program to open and to view the PDF-file.

Diploma Supplement

All students will receive an English-language transcript of records and Diploma Supplement free of charge when they graduate.  The Diploma Supplement is intended for international use and includes information on Jamk, the studies and credits (Transcript of Records), as well as on their level and status in the Finnish educational system.
