SportsComp Final Seminar, 16-18 June 2026 in Geneva

The SportsComp project (Higher Education to Improve Competency in Higher Education) held its final seminar on 16-18 June 2026, bringing together project partners, experts, and stakeholders to review the project's achievements and discuss opportunities for future collaboration.

During the seminar, the project's key outcomes and deliverables were presented and their significance for the international development of sports physiotherapy education and competencies was explored. The final event, held on 18 June 2026 in a hybrid format, enabled broad participation from stakeholders and collaborating organisations around the world.

The SportsComp project has successfully updated the international competencies for sports physiotherapy, while strengthening the quality, consistency, and international development of education in the field. The project results provide a strong foundation for the continued advancement of sports physiotherapy competencies and international collaboration beyond the project's lifetime.

The three-year SportsComp project will officially conclude on 31 August 2026.

Project is coordinated by Jamk University of Applied Sciences. Project partners include: University of Tartu, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Thessaly and The International Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Association.
