3+1 Joint-Degree programme In Purchasing and Logistics Engineering with Chinese partner, 2019-2028

Jamk’s Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Purchasing, and Logistics Engineering is the first logistics degree programme awarded the EUR-ACE label in Finland. It is a comprehensive package of both engineering and business. The programme includes studies of e.g., intelligent transport systems, strategic information system, modern robotization, wearable technology, AI, big data and IoT, additive manufacturing and studies of green logistics, etc. This program keeps the pace of industrial development and provide students with the most up-to-date competencies in Logistics. Jamk has educated half of logistics professionals in Finland.

After joint curriculum development and lots of preparation from both sides, in 2018 Joint Bachelor’s degree programme in Purchasing and Logistics Engineering was approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Until September 2021 there have been 3 intake groups. Within the joint-degree program, Jamk has the chance to provide logistics education to Chinese students with Finnish pedagogy. 

In addition to professional topics in logistics, like all other Jamk engineering program, the education also prepares students with soft skills, which are teamwork capability, communication, professionalism, ethics, problem-solving, lifelong learning and self/time/project/conflict management. Entrepreneurial perspective and an innovation attitude are also added values of the Joint-Degree Program.

Our goal is, after completing the degree, the student will have professional competencies, ability to interact constructively with members of the work community and be well prepared to work in an international logistics environment.
