Aila Pikkarainen has been working at JAMK for several years

"I have been working in several regional, national and international projects and among other things, I am a specialist in home based rehabilitation."

I have been working at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) for over 20 years as Senior Lecturer, Project Manager, Researcher, Trainer and Developer. I also coordinate the expert group of Older people's agency and home-based rehabilitation. Before JAMK, I worked about 15 years as an Occupational Therapist in special health care and in several rehabilitation institutes and retirement homes all over Finland.

I have been working in several reagional, national and international projects. I have participated in developing e.g. accessability, living and rehabilitation of older people and the competence and work well-being of employees. At the moment, I  am active in developing and advancing home based rehabilitation which is very topical at the moment. I have also experience in several project related financing channels and a strong competence in developing new educational products.
