Bioeconomy society of the future is built today. On December 10th, businesses, experts and university representatives interested in bio-based societies, construction and their development meet at Tarvaala bioeconomy campus in Central Finland. Bioeconomy is one of Finland's national strategic focus areas. It will affect how municipalities and buildings are designed, and how biomass and energy chains are organized.

Tarvaala Bioeconomy Campus in Central Finland is the leading Finnish bioeconomy center. Established in 1867, the campus begins a new phase in its history in 2015 following significant investments in equipment and facilities. Campus will be developed based on the needs of the business and education. One of the goals is to demonstrate the functions of bioeconomy society and offer a test bed environment for new business solutions.

In the event, you will hear business and expert views on bio-based materials, design, business development and customer value. Participants have a unique opportunity to participate in building the future bioeconomy campus and cooperation possibilities.

Event will be bilingual (English and Finnish).


Free bus transport from the city of Jyväskylä to Bioeconomy Campus at 08:00. Departure from JAMK main campus at Rajakatu.
