Multiprofessional learning

Mental wellbeing creates the basis for a life that feels enjoyable and meaningful. Mental wellbeing together with physical health go hand in hand influencing each other. Physical activity that supports psychological wellbeing varies from individual to another. In turn, creative activities offer basis to recognise areas of personal strength. Summer School is directed for Bachelor level students in the fields of social and health care and music.

JAMK has a very lively multicultural campus life. There´s a lot of services at your disposal.

Cultural and social activities

The Summer School offers a great opportunity to take part in various cultural and social activities in Jyväskylä, Finland. We will organize an evening cruise on Lake Päijänne, traditional Finnish Sauna night with barbequing and swimming in a lake, various sports and cultural activities with student tutors, city tours in Helsinki and in Jyväskylä, get-together and farewell parties ect. 


 This is a great opportunity to earn credits to your degree and experience e.g. Sweden and Russia and the lovely Finnish summer time while making many international friends and memories to last for a lifetime!

Administration fee

€ 200/student. Administration fee includes course programme, administration, tutoring and some social activities.

Summer School offers different types of accommodation to suit varying preferences and budgets.

Omena Hotel offers Jamk Summer School students a discount rate of EUR 75/night/room (1-4 persons) when using the code "JAMKSS2017" while making the online reservation. Please note that there is a limited number of rooms available.

Insurance

JAMK does not provide any insurance. Students coming to JAMK from abroad must take adequate insurance covering:

  • medical
  • liability
  • property
  • accident
  • repatriation in case of accidental death

If you are travelling outside of Finland as well, be sure that your insurance is valid in the countries you are visiting. It would be a good idea to check if your vaccinations are up to date (Tetanus etc.).
