Study engineering and business

International Logistics is a great package of both engineering and business! You will begin your studies with the basics, like transferable skills, natural sciences and engineering studies. After these you will concentrate in mandatory professional studies, which are Economy and management, and your major studies, Global logistics operations.

You can choose your minor studies to specialise into two (2) modules of: ​Purchasing, Industrial logistics management, Entrepreneurship, International business studies or one module from JAMK's partner Universities worldwide.

Practical training is done normally during the summer semesters and final thesis in the final part of the studies.

Final thesis

Final thesis

In the final thesis you will demonstrate the skills and knowledge you have acquired in a practical challenge. Normally, the final thesis is done for companies in a real practical challenge in the final part of your studies. The final thesis consists of both theoretical and practical research.



A tutor teacher will help you during your student career, provide guidance in selecting courses and give advice on practical aspects of studying and student life.

Studying in JAMK

The studies include lectures, teamwork, laboratory work, virtual studies, assignments, and exams. A practical training period (30 ECTS Cr) is also part of the programme. In this international degree programme, you will study one semester or do your practical training outside Finland.

Preparedness to Study

You should be interested in international experiences and you are motivated to study in a multicultural environment. You should be interested in developing operations in the field of logistics.

Tuition fees for non-EU/EEA students

According to a legislation concerning tuition fees for universities and universities of applied sciences are obliged to charge tuition fees from students who are not citizens of countries of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) and who start their degree studies from 1 August 2017 onwards.

There are NO tuition fees for Finnish or other EU/EEA-citizens.

How to apply during the second application period

The application period 2 (20 March - 3 April 2019) is intended for applicants who have a possibility to participate in the entrance examination on 5 April 2019 in Jyväskylä, Finland. Exams will not be held outside Finland during application period 2. The intake is 10 students.

How to apply during the first application period

The application period 1 (9 -23 January 2019) is intended for applicants all over the world. The intake is 15 students.
