Orientation info

The mandatory Orientation is on Friday 21 January 2022 at 13:00 local time at UADE University (address: main entrance, Lima 775, Buenos Aires). It is followed by the official city tour organised by JAMK School of Business to JAMK group. HOX! Please remember to have a lunch before the meeting.

On Saturday 22nd January 2022, you will have an Official Opening Dinner from 21:00 to 00:00 (local time) offered by the JAMK School of Business. The place will be specified during the orientation.

The Official Opening Ceremony of Business Studies in Latin America at UADE will be held on Monday 24th January 10:00 local time.

To whom?

Our programme suits perfectly for Bachelor's and Master's level students who are interested in enhancing their business competences in Latin America. Subject to the applicant's home university, the programme can be accredited as a Minor.

Costs for students 2022

  • Tuition fee at UADE Business School:  435€/month, 4 instalments. Invoicing by JAMK (December-March).
  • JAMK administration fee: 350€ to cover administrative and planning costs. Invoicing in December. For JAMK's partner university students - check this payment with your home institution.
  • Flights & Accommodation: Every participant is responsible to book and pay the flights and arrange accommodation personally.

Cancellation policy

By submitting this application, you commit to participate in the programme in Buenos Aires in the spring of 2021 and to pay for all the mentioned costs. The charge for cancellation between 1.12. -15.12.2021 is 350€. If the cancellation is made between 16.12.2021 – 22.1.2022, the charge for cancellation is the total UADE tuition fee.

Application Procedure (1st Stage)

The application is split in two stages:

Follow the registration link and fill it by latest October 30th, 2021. You will need to attach the following documents:

  • Latest Transcript of Records from your home university
  • Motivation letter (max 500 words) with your photo
  • Proof of English Proficiency if not a native speaker (minimum B2 level)
  • Copy of your passport

Application Procedure (2nd Stage)

After the registration deadline, you will receive emails from both JAMK & UADE, which will include detailed instructions for filling an online form on UADE's registration portal. Be prepared to upload the following documents to the portal:

  • Latest transcript of records
  • Passport Copy
  • UADE’s application form (to be sent to you via email)
  • Proof of English certificate
  • Insurance certificate
  • Photo
  • CV

Once you upload all documents to the portal, you will receive your acceptance letter issued from UADE. You must immediately begin your VISA process after that. See instructions below (!)

Visa Process Instructions

We recommend the students to begin the visa process immediately once they receive their acceptance letter from UADE. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Complete the Visa form (to be sent via email)
  2. Have your acceptance letter from UADE and course programme (can be downloaded from the website)
  3. Have a colored passport photograph: dimensions 4x4
  4. Have a passport that is valid for six months after your trip ends
  5. Have your airline tickets booked at the time (we advise you to book your tickets with flexible return dates)
  6. Have a summary of your bank account proving your financial solvency for the trip (note that there is no specific amount that you need to show)
  7. Prepare 150, which corresponds to the Visa processing fee

Once you have prepared the documents, you should contact Ms. Ksenia Sormunen from the Embassy of Argentina in Helsinki to book an appointment and pay the processing fee. You can do it either via phone (+358-9-4242-8702) or email (consular_efinl@mrecic.gov.ar). NOTE: If you're not travelling from Finland, contact the local Embassy of Argentina in your country (!), and remember to indicate in the application in which City and Country you will be

If you follow the above described procedure, you will most likely obtain your student Visa on the same day when you visit the embassy.

The market potential of the Southern Cone is growing

"Argentina and its two smaller neighbours, Uruguay and Paraguay, form a promising market and investment ground for European companies. The vast natural resources in energy and mining of the three countries are yet to be fully commercialized. With the growing global demand for food and animal feed, there is also plenty of room for expansion of the agricultural sector. I am convinced that we haven´t seen the best of these countries yet. 

The local business environment is sometimes particular and might be challenging to Europeans, so there is a clear need for local knowledge and expertise for new companies entering these markets. These countries are working hard to attract foreign investments and facilitate commercial relations between MERCOSUR and the European Union countries. If the EU and MERCOSUR manage to agree and sign the association agreement in the near future, there will even more commercial and other opportunities.
The overall trend is overtly promising. During the next ten years, these three countries will grow in importance. In order to plan and carry out successful operations in this part of the world, companies from Finland and other European countries will need trained advisers and employees who are familiar with the local ways of doing business and who are able to master the Spanish language.”
