Students are selected to bachelor's degrees conducted in English principally by two different entrance examination methods:
- Entrance examination in Finland
- Online entrance examination (FINNIPS network)
If you attend to both of these entrance examination, you will be taken into account in both of the selection methods.
It is not necessary to attend to both of these entrance examinations. One accepted examination result from either of the examinations is sufficient for a change to be admitted. Applicants will be ranked by the points awarded for the examination.
Update 22.1.2021: Due to the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, entrance examinations for Nursing and Business Information Technology are organised completely online, and only in February.
In Information and Communication Technology, students are selected on the basis of the points awarded for an online course and interview.
In Purchasing and Logistics Engineering, part of the students are selected by entrance examination and part by SAT test. SAT test in not compulsory. You can find more information about SAT test as a selection method in content of entrance examinations of Purchasing and Logistics Engineering.
Below you can find the distribution of study places available in different selection methods. In case one selection method queue is not filled, the available study places are filled from another selection method queue.
At JAMK, there is no selection based on the degree certificate used in applying in the first application period of spring. Thus, earlier academic performance does not affect to the student selection. It is also not necessary to provide a language proficiency certificate by the set date. The English language skills are assessed in the entrance examination.
