Project description
In the Manufacturing Industry Resilience project, a safe and realistic training environment is being developed for Finnish industry. This environment allows companies to test and improve their cybersecurity capabilities as well as the continuity of their operations. The environment is designed in close collaboration with the participating companies, and its content is based on their processes and technical systems.
During the project:
- The value chains and operating environments of the participating companies are mapped.
- Key threats and disruption scenarios that may impact production and supply chains are identified.
- A joint requirements specification for the training environment is created based on the information collected from companies.
- The training environment is designed and built so that disruptions can be tested safely without affecting real production.
- A pilot exercise is conducted, enabling companies to practice how to respond to disruptions and how to develop their own procedures.
As outcomes of the project:
- a training environment tailored to the needs of the industry
- a clear understanding of critical points in industrial value chains
- improved preparedness and training opportunities for cyber disruptions
- strengthened cooperation between companies and authorities
