Success Factors for the Circular Economy in Central Finland

The Success Factors for the Circular Economy in Central Finland (KIME) project promotes the competitiveness and growth of the circular economy in Central Finland by building a regional circular economy ecosystem that brings together municipalities, businesses, research organisations, and experts. The project aims to create a shared vision and roadmap for the development of the circular economy, strengthen innovation and piloting activities, and develop circular economy areas into attractive environments for investment.

The project seeks to generate new business opportunities, increase business establishment and investments in Central Finland, and support the region's sustainable vitality and long-term development.

The project is implemented by Jamk University of Applied Sciences and the University of Jyväskylä in cooperation with municipalities, companies, and the Circular Economy Centre of Excellence (CECE) in Central Finland. The project runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2028.

Project activities are organised into five work packages. As the lead partner, Jamk participates in the implementation of all five work packages.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.
