Project description
The purpose of the project is to find a sustainable solution to the significant challenge of the circular economy of rural companies: how to recycle plastic waste generated on farms, gardens and in industrial companies located in rural areas in a cost-effective way.
The project examines the entire supply chain of plastic material flows. The chain covers plastic product manufacturers, importers and retailers, rural companies (places of origin), terminal operations/interim warehouses, transport companies and receivers/handlers.
During the project, clear operating and recycling methods for the plastic waste handling will be examined at the places of origin and waste receivers/handlers. Also a cost-effective logistic operating model will be created, which will be piloted and developed in the project.
