Project description
Pro Internship Eastern Finland (ESR+) is a project aiming to develop language and culture-aware student guidance, novel models for clinical training and strategies to support the learning of local language among health care sectors. The project contributes to development of higher education and aims to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse working communities. All development activities are planned and executed in cooperation with three universities of applied sciences (JAMK, Savonia, XAMK) and local wellbeing service counties.  Pro Internship Eastern Finland project is part of national Pro Internship project network. 

The concrete results of the project include
  • Comprehensive training program for multicultural, language-aware, and language-supported guidance skills for internship mentors and teachers
  • Operational model for AI-assisted guidance
  • Development and training for implementing multicultural module internships
  • Training and operational model for language coaches, an operational model for guiding foreign-language students in welfare areas
  • Established networks to ensure the availability of internship places, the implementation of internships, and cooperation in internship guidance
