The steering and development of sports policy require up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge about phenomena in the sector. In recent years, the activities of sports organizations and the related ethical issues, as well as municipal sports services, have been at the center of numerous reforms and transitions. A significant share of the state sports budget is allocated annually to supporting the activities of these organizations, and many sports policy measures have also been directed at promoting sustainability and ethical issues in sport. This project examines these themes from the perspectives of public value and governance, as well as through the frameworks of professionalization and sports management.
