Project description
The project is based on a growing shortage of experts, which is already having a negative impact on the economic growth and development of Northern Central Finland. The aim of the project is to identify the current and already planned measures of the key actors in the region to improve the vitality of the area and to solve the shortage of experts.

The project examines the prerequisites for a permanent operating model to ensure a skilled workforce in northern Central Finland. At the same time, the willingness of key actors to develop and intensify regional cooperation more strongly will be examined.

The operating area is the Saarijärvi - Viitasaari sub-region. The beneficiaries are rural employers, development organisations, municipalities and their inhabitants.

After the interviews, data collection and bencmarking, the feedback and comments received are used to compile the actors' common will and proposal for possible further measures (= permanent operating model).
