Project description
The project is building the AIReOn ecosystem, consisting of an AI-powered infrastructure and the collaborative network that grows around it.
The AIReOn infrastructure can be scaled and adapted to different operating environments in Finland and around the world. Through AIReOn, people in need of rehabilitation can more easily find support tailored to their individual needs, regardless of time or location. At the same time, rehabilitation professionals and service providers gain new tools for creating and distributing digital services and content to wider audiences, opening up new business opportunities.
The collaborative network brings together rehabilitation professionals, developers, researchers, students, technology providers, business experts, and end users of rehabilitation services, including people undergoing rehabilitation and their families. Within the network, participants share knowledge, learn from one another, develop and study new solutions, and test services in safe settings. The goal is to create rehabilitation services that are more accessible, higher in quality, and more impactful across multidisciplinary rehabilitation contexts.
Supported by Business Finland, the project is implemented as an innovative public procurement, where solutions are not purchased off the shelf but are developed throughout the project. AIReOn follows a human-centred design approach, meaning that solutions are designed around users' needs and developed according to co-creation principles. During the project, market dialogues with technology providers, co-creation activities with stakeholders, prototype testing, and pilot implementations are carried out to ensure that the solutions address real needs and can be successfully deployed in a variety of operating environments both in Finland and internationally.
