The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has opened up numerous new applications for solving complex problems. In the business world, AI offers clear use cases that can enhance competitiveness by optimizing operational processes. Companies that identify relevant applications and adopt AI technologies early stand to gain a significant advantage over those that delay implementation. As a result, the business environment is undergoing a transformation, which is reshaping competitive dynamics.
This project aims to increase the use of generative AI among companies operating in the Central Finland region through close collaboration between Jamk University of Applied Sciences and local businesses.
The project is driven by the needs of companies in Central Finland and focuses on applied research. It includes case studies addressing specific challenges faced by local businesses, as well as pilot projects based on data provided by partner companies. Insights gained from these activities will be shared publicly and broadly to benefit local, national, and international companies. In addition, the project will share general information about the development, opportunities, and challenges of generative AI technologies, tailored to different target audiences.
These efforts aim to reduce the resource investment required for adopting generative AI technologies, thereby increasing their usage among companies in Central Finland.
The project will achieve the following specific objectives during the project period 9/2025 - 8/2027:
Objective 2: A collection of tools and the necessary material for their use is available for companies to effectively test/implement generative AI solutions in their business processes.
Objective 3: Awareness of AI deployment is strengthened and companies' capacity to integrate AI solutions into business processes is developed.
Objective 4: Increased awareness and understanding of generative AI has contributed to a positive image of AI technologies.
