Licence to move! campaign week starts on 16.3.2026!

Licence to move! campaign week returns in honour of spring. The aim is to encourage students and staff to increase physical activity in their everyday studies and work – on campus, in distance learning and during independent study, as well as on their way to study and work.

During the week, we will highlight ways in which teaching and learning can be paused and activated, especially in distance learning, tell what students think about the implementation of the principles of Students on the Move in practice, launch new cognitive ergonomics break stickers and ask you to report teachers/colleagues who are physically active. In addition to this, there will also be a Campus Adventure and Playground event, as well as encounters on campuses.

During the campaign week, we will introduce new cognitive break stickers that can be used to take breaks from teaching in lectures, online meetings and during independent study. At the stands, we will also share tips on how to implement pedagogical principles in online teaching. During the campaign week, the results of the Current State assessment aimed at students will also be published – what is already working and where there is room for improvement. Permission to Move during the week is also asked to report teachers or colleagues who are physically active and to make visible small but repetitive everyday actions! You can report a teacher or colleague who encourages movement and takes care of breaks in connection with teaching or meetings. The person with the most votes and solid arguments will be awarded the Physical Activity Teacher/Colleague diploma.

In addition to this, there will also be a week-long Campus Adventure, which will allow students to get to know the surroundings of the campus areas and win amazing prizes. More information and instructions for the Campus Adventure can be found on JAMKO's website jamko.fi. On Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can get to know the gymnasium of Jamk's Rajakatu campus and its possibilities at the Playground event, when the gymnasium will have various activities and activities. Come and watch and take breaks from studying or working in a fun and active way! On Wednesday, Everyday acrobatics will be available on Zoom from 11 am to 11.30 am.
