Main purpose

International Forum of Mechanical Mechatronic Engineering (IFM2E) brings the educators and representatives of  industry together to develop competitiveness in European Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering education and industry.

The purpose of the Forum is to review and find solutions for:

  • the goals and needs of European mechanical and mechatronic industry
  • the state of European mechanical and mechatronic engineering education

IFME is annual Forum taking place in different European countries:

  •     Finland 2006 – JAMK University of Applied Sciences
  •     Austria 2007  - Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences
  •     France 2008  - University of CAEN, ESIX Normandy
  •     Germany 2009 – Esslingen University of Applied Sciences
  •     Finland 2010 – JAMK University of Applied Sciences
  •     Austria 2011 – Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences
  •     Hungary 2012 – University of Miskolc
  •     Germany 2013 – Esslingen University of Applied Sciences
  •     Finland 2014 – JAMK University of Applied Sciences
  •     Germany 2015 – Esslingen University of Applied Sciences
  •  Finland 2016 – JAMK University of Applied Sciences

The IFM2E is organized by the local universities in different countries. All of those universities represent the most active operator collaborating with industry. The forms of cooperation have quite a variety from projects done as a part of the educational courses to consulting or joint development projects or staff training. On the other hand these universities represent also the most active ones in development of the education both in substance and in pedagogical methods.
