Nature as a part of every day wellbeing

Nature offers many benefits and possibilities for maintaining and enhancing individual's health and wellbeing. Bachelor level Summer School by the School of Health and Social Studies focuses on offering an insight into various nature based activities to support individual’s physical, emotional and social wellbeing. The course is targeted to students and professionals in different study fields.

Day at the Leivonmäki National Park

On Tuesday 26th of May, the students will visit beautiful Leivonmäki National Park located in the Central Finland, about 45 minutes bus drive from Jyväskylä. During the day in the forest, the students will experience Finnish nature and practice their wilderness survival skills e.g. by cooking lunch by the camp fire. Remember to take good hiking boots and warm clothing with you!



Administration fee

€ 300/student for Jamk partners. Administration fee includes course programme, administration, tutoring and some social activities.

JAMK does not provide any insurance. Students coming to JAMK from abroad must take adequate insurance covering:

  • medical
  • liability
  • property
  • accident
  • repatriation in case of accidental death

If you are travelling outside of Finland as well, be sure that your insurance is valid in the countries you are visiting. It would be a good idea to check if your vaccinations are up to date (Tetanus etc.).
