Cultural and social activities

The Summer School offers a great opportunity to take part in various cultural and social activities in Jyväskylä, Finland. We will organize an evening cruise on Lake Päijänne, traditional Finnish Sauna night with barbequing and swimming in a lake, various sports and cultural activities with student tutors, city tours in Helsinki and in Jyväskylä, get-together and farewell parties ect.

This is a great opportunity to earn credits to your degree and experience e.g. Sweden and Russia and the lovely Finnish summer time while making many international friends and memories to last for a lifetime!

According to an inquiry, over 89 % of our students are ready to recommend JAMK as a place of study. In addition to that, international students were even more positive!

JAMK does not provide any insurance. Students coming to JAMK from abroad must take adequate insurance covering

  • medical
  • liability
  • property
  • accident
  • repatriation in case of accidental death

If you are travelling outside of Finland as well, be sure that your insurance is valid in the countries you are visiting. It would be a good idea to check if your vaccinations are up to date (Tetanus etc.).
