An applicant cannot gain admission to the same degree programme at JAMK, in which one already has a study right during the application period.

Entrance exams from the previous years are not available. We reserve the right to make changes.

SAT-test (concerns only International Logistics)

You can be selected to the JAMK’s Bachelor’s Degree Programme in International Logistics with the SAT test without sitting an entrance exam. Notice, that SAT is just one option to be selected as a student for International Logistics (it’s NOT mandatory).

JAMK UAS requires a minimum score of

  • 400 from Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and
  • 400 from Math.

Applicants are accepted in order of best points. The intake is 6 students via SAT test for International Logistics.

Only new SAT scores taken after 1 March 2016 are accepted. Please note that SAT Subject Tests are not accepted. The official SAT result report must be ordered directly from the test organiser. The code for JAMK University of Applied Sciences is 6956. Reports printed or sent by the applicant him/herself are not acceptable.

JAMK UAS must receive your SAT score by 13 April 2018. Consequently, the SAT Test should be taken no later than on the March 2018 test date. Nevertheless, we recommend you to take the SAT test during the autumn to secure the delivery of your result on time. It’s recommendable for you to participate for entrance examination in March/April, if you haven’t received your SAT-results yet, and you are uncertain of your upcoming SAT results. The registration closes approximately one month before the test dates. Check registration deadlines on the SAT website.

(Concerns Bachelor's Degree Programmes in International Logistics, Nursing and International Business.)

  • Brazil: São Paulo
  • China: Wuhan
  • Germany: Frankfurt
  • Great Britain: London
  • Hungary: Budapest
  • India: Delhi
  • Kazakhstan: Astana
  • Kenya: Nairobi
  • Nepal: Kathmandu
  • Russia: Moscow and St. Petersburg
  • USA: Chicago
  • Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City

Please note that changes may occur.

Choosing an entrance examination country at studyinfo.fi (concerns only January application)

You have a possibility to choose the country in which you would like to complete the entrance examination. Thus, in the application form there is a question "in which country do you want to complete the entrance examination(s) organised by the FINNIPS network?".

In Russia the exams are arranged in two cities. You can choose between the cities after selecting the country in the application form. You can confirm your choice of CITY in Russia after you receive the invitation for the entrance examination by email beginning of March.

Notice that based on your answer (you can choose only one option) you receive an invitation letter to this particular COUNTRY. You can change your exam country selection by 7 Feb 2018 by sending an email to your first-choice UAS Admission Services. After this date, the requests to change the country are not taken into consideration.

Please note that if you are planning to take the exam outside your own country of residence, you should check whether you need a visa to enter the exam country and whether visas are granted for exam purposes. It is the applicants’ own responsibility to take care of acquiring the required permits and it is recommended to do it before making other travel arrangements. Some embassies may have a general policy of not granting visas for entrance exam purposes.

Only the highest option within the same examination group can invite eligible applicants to the entrance examination. After you have completed the exam, your admission points will be transferred to other UAS within the same group. Notice, that if you are not an eligible applicant, there is a chance that you still might be invited for the entrance examination via discretionary admission. However, you may not be invited for your highest preference, but to some lower option. Each UAS which uses discretionary admission makes the decision autonomously.

Note, that all UAS' degree programmes are not members of the FINNIPS network. The list of co-operating degree programmes, FINNIPS network’s member UAS, and more information can be found at www.finnips.fi.

Selection Between Applicants with Equal Admission Scores

In cases of equal admission scores, JAMK's applicants will be ranked on the following grounds in the final selection:

  1. points awarded for the entrance examination;
  2. the applicant's preferred programme ranking on the application form

If the above mentioned criteria fail to produce a difference between tied applicants, they will be automatically ranked by a computerised lottery.

Residence Permit

If you live outside EU or EEA, you need to apply for a residence permit before leaving for Finland. It is recommended to do so without a delay at the nearest Finnish consulate or embassy after getting the notice of acceptance letter.

Please note! The precondition for obtaining a residence permit is that you have a valid health insurance coverage with a reliable and solvent company or institution. Further information can be found on the website of the Finnish Immigration Service.

Orginal Degree Certificates

The final original senior secondary school certificates will be checked at the Student Services at the beginning of studies. So remember to take those with you before you leave from your homecountry!
