Meet our Game Track team
Behind the Game Track project is a four-member team of experts with strong RDI and domain expertise in the gaming industry, combined with hands-on experience in game development, entrepreneurship, ecosystem building, and communication. Our role in the project is to support participants in developing their skills and understanding of game industry entrepreneurship. We aim to to clarify and pave career pathways into the gaming sector, strengthen the local ecosystem, and create new opportunities for students, companies, and regional stakeholders alike.
Hanna "Habahau" Hauvala
Project Manager, Jamk University of Applied Sciences
Since 2015, I have been designing and implementing both regional and international projects focusing on game industry education, business development, and ecosystem building. For the past six years, I have also led Jamk’s expert teams in game industry education as well as in “game technologies and esports,” contributing to strategic goals of our UAS. In addition, I played a key role in launching the Digi & Game Center, which serves as a hub for game industry expertise and growth in Central Finland. More broadly, I work across multidisciplinary networks, exploring intersections and opportunities for advancing the game industry.
My favorite video game is the legendary Super Mario, which is almost the same age as me! In my free time, you can often find me on the golf course or playing floorball.
As the Project Manager, I am responsible for ensuring that the project’s actions, objectives, and resources are carried out within the given timeline. I organize the work of the project team and make sure that both the team and participants are clear on what is expected of them throughout the project. Above all, it is important to me that everyone finds their participation in the project meaningful and feels well supported as individuals. You can always reach out to me with any questions about the project − anytime.
Jere "Fumikomi" Lamberg
Specialist, Jamk University of Applied Sciences
I have been playing video games since childhood, but my history in the game industry began in the early 2000s with modding Operation Flashpoint: Resistance. Things started to develop more seriously when I began my studies in Information Technology at Jamk in 2014. I focused on game industry content and participated in several student game projects. Towards the end of my studies, I was also part of a team that developed a browser game for one of Jamk’s projects. After graduating in 2020, I worked as a Unity developer at a health tech startup, and in 2022 I founded my own game industry sole proprietorship.
I started teaching at Jamk in autumn 2021, covering topics such as game programming and Unity development, game testing, and project management. While I taught many other subjects as well, I gradually steered myself more towards game industry content. In summer 2023, I transitioned from teaching to a specialist role, which has allowed me to focus more on game industry and technologies.
One of the hardest questions in the world is when I’m asked about my favorite game. At the moment, the ones that come to mind are Final Fantasy VII and BioWare’s Neverwinter Nights from 2002.
In my role as a GT-coach, I mainly mentor and support new game industry professionals and companies. In addition, I coordinate some of the day-to-day activities, though within the Game Track expert team we aim to make decisions and carry out the work together. My expertise lies mostly in project management, though I also have a background in game design and programming.
Risto "Delessar" Koskenkorva
Specialist, Jamk University of Applied Sciences
I’m a seasoned game industry veteran, a multidisciplinary professional, and a somewhat introverted nerd. Since 2003, I’ve gained extensive experience in leading game projects, working with game technologies, and navigating the storms of entrepreneurship. My passion lies in mentoring and helping others avoid the pitfalls in the game industry that my partners and I have encountered along the way. My “treasures,” or achievements, include accumulated experience and expertise, supporting the growth of Finnish game industry players, a few discontinued companies, a large-scale volunteer project, a significant number of Steam releases from my students, and many graduates now working in the industry.
In my free time, you might find me singing in a choir with a symphony orchestra, working out at the gym, playing role-playing or board games with friends, attending Mensa gatherings, or simply relaxing with my home theater and Steam Deck. My favorite game is the cult classic Fallout 2.
As a GT-coach, I will be supporting new game companies and future professionals during the exciting and challenging early stages of their journey. Together with my colleagues, I do my best to improve the future prospects of the project’s participants. And if you’d like to hear about my adventures in the ups and downs of the game industry, all you need to do is ask.
Iina "Dahliacadavre" Kolari
Communications Specialist, Jamk University of Applied Sciences
I’m a lifelong geek and versatile communications professional, having worked at Jamk with game technologies and esports for almost four years. In my daily work as a Communications Specialist, I take photos and videos, create illustrations, write, manage social media, and publish content. I also enjoy storytelling, branding, concept development, and other broad communications projects where I can apply my skills and learn new things. I have mentored Jamk game industry students on social media projects, and sometimes you can find me in escape rooms, offering people real-life gaming experiences.
Video games are also a big part of my free time − my favorites include Borderlands, Fallout, Portal, and nostalgic 90s platformers. I also have five shelled assistants, as there are usually tortoises roaming my home office.
As a communications specialist in Game Track, I strive to make the program visible and heard far and wide, creating a positive and memorable impression for audiences and target groups. It’s important to me to highlight local expertise and show what happens inside the walls of the Digi & Game Center during the project. If teams need guidance on branding or visual design for a new company or product, I’m more than happy to help!
