HEPA Europe Network 2026 Conference focused on Green Pathways to Health, highlighting the role of green environments, physical activity, and the prevention of non-communicable diseases.

Researchers and specialists from Jamk University of Applied Sciences presented their latest findings:

• Senior Researcher Heidi Syväoja and Senior Researcher Tuuli Suominen: Physical Activity and Cognition (Palcoll)
• Chief Specialist Piritta Asunta and Principal Researcher Tuija Tammelin: SmartCHANGE: Supporting Healthier Habits Through Health Technology
• Chief Specialist Anu Kangasniemi: Physical Activity for Mental Health (Physical Activity for Mental Health)

The HEPA Conference brings together researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, physical activity and sports experts, as well as representatives from municipalities, NGOs, and other stakeholder organizations to discuss the promotion of physical activity, health-enhancing practices, and the translation of research evidence into real-world action. The congress held in Slovenia in early September was organized by the HEPA Europe network in cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for Europe.
