Ways to Promote Sustainable Consumption, ARVOA – The Next Chapter of the Circular Economy

Consume more wisely! Come and contribute to developing ideas and solutions that make sustainable consumption easier. What do you think is the best idea? Share your suggestions.

Well ED – Well-Being and Self-Care Event

Well ED offers a research-based perspective on well-being in everyday digital life. You will gain practical tools to manage workload, improve resilience, and support both learning and work ability. The theme brings together mind, body, and everyday choices into a holistic approach to well-being. At the same time, you will strengthen your skills in self-leadership and in acting sustainably in a changing work and learning environment.

Well-Being with Nature

How does nature influence our well-being, and how can we also promote the well-being of the environment? Come and explore nature-based methods and the research behind them.

At our stand, you can learn about the well-being effects of nature and research and development projects related to environmentally friendly behavior. You can also try nature-based exercises that support well-being and strengthen your connection with nature. We will present methods and materials developed by Jamk and our partners, and offer opportunities to experience both exercises carried out in nearby nature and virtual nature experiences.

Come to experience, reflect, and discuss how nature can support the well-being of both people and the planet now and in the future.

Can Artificial Intelligence Help with Back Pain – Try It and Make an Impact!

Can artificial intelligence support different rehabilitation needs, such as acute lower back pain? Come and try how AI guides self-care and discuss with researchers how the answers are generated. You will test an example designed specifically to support self-rehabilitation for acute back pain—not a general-purpose chat.

Scan the QR code, try it yourself, and give feedback as a citizen scientist—your insights will influence what trustworthy and human-centered digital health and social services will look like in the future.

Drones and Data – How Agriculture Is Becoming Smart

Come and explore the fascinating world of smart farming and see how data and technology are transforming agriculture! At this activity point, you will get a close look at drones, sensors, and other modern measurement equipment, and learn how they are used to collect data from fields and the environment.

You will gain concrete insight into how technology helps farmers make better and more sustainable decisions. Come and ask, try, and get inspired – what does the future of agriculture look like?

Making Work Lighter and Smoother – RAKSA 2.0

Come and test how workload can be reduced and assessed using different methods and tools!

Musatossut (Music Slippers)

What are these funny slippers? Musatossut are playful dancing slippers that get the youngest members of the family moving at the Researchers’ Night as part of the “Family Superpower” theme.

At our activity point, there will be plenty to do, including crafts, physical activities, and making music!

Arrival and Parking

Our main campus is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle. There are plenty of frame-locking and covered parking spaces reserved for cyclists. Local Linkki buses also stop right next to the main campus.

Visitors arriving by car can park in all parking spaces at the main campus, except for separately marked reserved heated pole spaces.

All parking spaces are subject to a fee, which is paid via the eParking, Moovy, Parkman or EasyPark app. Parking costs €2/hour. We recommend downloading the eParking app in advance. See the eParking instructions

There are some heated and charging poles at the main campus, and their use is charged separately based on electricity consumption, at a rate of €0.25/kWh. The poles are operated via the eParking app.

Accessibility

During the evening event, entry is through doors A1 and F1. Parking for invalids is located in front of the C1 entrance, and on the Aatoksenkatu side in front of the G1 entrance. The pink parking spaces on the map below are designated accessible parking spots.

We recommend using the end of the parking area closest to the Orthodox Church for accessible parking, as the route to door F1 is level.

The event route runs from door F1 to door A1. The event is mostly on one level, and there are no thresholds in the spaces. The FK floor is accessible by elevator. Multiple accessible restrooms are available along the route.
