Research Insights into Vocational Teacher Education

The Research Insights into Vocational Teacher Education (VTE) webinar series offers new research-based perspectives on current issues and future directions in vocational teacher education. The series explores themes such as learning losses, competence-based education reform, sustainability, continuous learning, and digital pedagogy. 

In particular, the series provides listeners with a deeper understanding of the current educational landscape in Ukraine and of how resilience, diversity, and pedagogical expertise in teacher education are being developed amidst crisis through international collaboration. 

Webinar 1: Practices to overcome learning losses 

On Tuesday October 21, 2025. At 14:00–15:00 (EET) 

Professor Oksana Kovtun, from Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav (Ukraine), will speak in the webinar. 

The presentation focuses on the transformation of teaching and learning practices in vocational education through multimodal and digital approaches. It explores how technology, interactivity, and collaboration can enhance student engagement and competence development. Based on current research and practical experience, the presentation also addresses the challenges and opportunities of integrating AI and digital tools into teacher training in the context of rapid technological and societal change.
