Excellent combination of theory and practice

Studies at the School of Business are a practical-oriented alternative to traditional university education and give the students an excellent combination of hands-on skills along with a strong theoretical knowledge base. For the summer 2016 we have tailored a special Creativity and Communication Programme. We recommend choosing four courses from the topics listed below.

Contact hours are between 9 am - 4 pm on weekdays. The Summer School is aimed at students from our partner institutions and JAMK students.

Both Bachelor's and Master's level courses available. Registration and payment takes place online.

Creativity and Problem Solving Programme (using Concept Lab methods) 8 ECTS

The Creativity and Problem Solving Programme 8 ECTS is an alternative to the courses above. The program is taught in English and contains 80 contact hours including exploration of concepts of User centricity and Innovation, hands-on innovation and concept development work through problem-solving of a real life business case, creativity workshops using e.g. art and theatre conventions and prototyping activities as well as a business visit and seminars.

The program is multidisciplinary and aims to enable student with hands-on skills with problem solving and creativity and experience through exploration of the impact of creative methods in business development. The program opens new perspectives for professional personal development and creates understanding of value of multidisciplinary teams.
